After having sold the astonishing figure of 19.5 million copies in the PS4 version, the Spartan is preparing to conquer the PC user as well. Sony and Santa Monica Studio have in fact announced that God of War will arrive on Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 14, 2022.
The power granted by the hardware of Personal Computers has allowed the Californian developers to further improve the graphics rendering and add some exclusive features with the support of NVIDIA. And it was the house of Santa Clara that provided us with 10 new screenshots in 4K of God of War, which aim to make the technical improvements made to the game evident in the eyes of all.
God of War for PC, in addition to support for 4K resolution and unlimited framerate, will also implement two new generation technologies developed by NVIDIA, namely DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), which on selected cards allows you to increase the frame rate and generate sharp images, and low-latency Reflex, which makes more responsive gameplay possible. HDR on G-SYNC and G-SYNC ULTIMATE monitors, ultra-widescreen 21: 9 and support for DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers are not lacking either. As for the effects, we can expect higher resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, more detailed assets and enhanced Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion (GTAO) and Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO) effects.
