A new message came by surprise during the evening from Blue Box Game Studios, the authors of Abandoned who decided to go into detail on the technical problems that forced her to postpone the launch of the teaser.
Here is the message posted on Twitter:
“We ask everyone to calmly wait for the update. We understand your frustration. We are 100% real and are working on a game we strongly believe in. Here is what happened: We have encountered several problems related to the game engine that are emerged at the last minute following the detection of a graphic glitch. We therefore decided to proceed with an update and we almost succeeded, as the testing phase is almost finished. We want to thank everyone for their patience and apologize for the inconvenience. “
It therefore seems that the delay is due to a problem that would not have prevented the application from functioning, but which would have certainly broken its immersion and, being a title with a horror atmosphere, it is understandable that the decision was to fix the graphical glitch before going online. The post also specifies that the update is in the final stages of testing and it cannot be ruled out that the patch may arrive shortly.
In the meantime, there continue to be numerous doubts on the issue and there are those who believe that the postponement of the Abandoned teaser is just a marketing gimmick.
