a leak puts the Ricochet anti-cheat at risk

A few hours after the announcement of the anti-cheat Ricochet for Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard, it seems that the first problems for Activision’s software have already arisen.

According to some rumors, a part of the kernel-level anti-cheat code would have ended up on some forum and, consequently, in the hands of the crafty ones who package the tricks and then sell them online. It is therefore likely that the lines of code subject to the leak are already under the magnifying glass of those who produce the cheats, who could thus have an advantage over the developers and start creating the software to sell at the launch of Vanguard and the new version of Warzone.

Unfortunately, at the moment there are no statements on the matter by Activision, which has not confirmed or denied the rumors regarding the leak. All that remains is to wait for new information to understand if the information leak is real and how much it can affect the security of the software that should protect the players’ experience from next November.

In the meantime, we remind you that the COD Warzone Season 6 pass has welcomed 24 free rewards for Vanguard. Have you already seen the scary trailer for COD Vanguard Zombies?
