New World is currently the title that has the highest number of simultaneous players connected on Steam, and it seems that Jeff Bezos, founder and president of Amazon, is enjoying the immense success of the MMORPG.
Despite having practically unlimited economic resources, Amazon Games struggled in its beginnings to emerge in the gaming industry, with numerous projects canceled or simply bankrupt, and with the late Crucible representing the most striking case. However, the company took its revenge, and Bezos expressed all his enthusiasm for the exceptional debut of New World, which succeeded in exceeding the numbers of PUBG, Dota 2, and even Counter Strike: GO, which gives always stationed among the top places on the Steam rankings.
“After many failures and setbacks with games, we have a success”, the words of Bezos in a twitter on Twitter. “I’m so proud of our team for being persevering. See setbacks as obstacles to learning. Whatever your goals, don’t give up, no matter how difficult it gets.” Bezos couldn’t help but take a few pebbles off his shoe, citing a Bloomberg article titled: “Amazon Can Do Almost Everything – Except a Good Video Game” dating back 8 months. It is evident that the company has been trying for some time to break into gaming, and New World could only represent a small big step for the rise of Amazon in our medium.
While welcomed with enthusiasm, it seems that New World is continuing to cause the bricks of the RTX 3090 GPUs, but Amazon has not yet commented on the story.
