On the occasion of Gamescom 2021 and, specifically, on the stage of the Opening Night Live presented by Geoff Keiglhey, Activision showed for the first time to the general public a long mission of the awaited Call of Duty Vanguard.
The entire demonstration, which allowed players to get a first look at the gameplay of the new chapter of the shooter set in the Second World War, had as its absolute protagonist Polina Petrova, the very skilled marksman played by Laura Bailey (the Abby of The Last of Us Part 2 and the Black Widow in Marvel’s Avengers, just to name two of the many characters to whom he lent his voice) and that we already met some time ago thanks to the bizarre Call of Duty Vanguard themed easter egg in COD Warzone. The character, based on the story of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, finds himself fighting in a Nazi-occupied Stalingrad in two different sequences of the demo, which allows us to observe some of the novelties of COD Vanguard’s gameplay such as the ability to overcome certain surfaces with the bullets.
