As promised by the software house, the latest digital appointment in the company of Larian Studios brought with it the announcement of the release date and the contents of Patch 5 Baldur’s Gate 3.
Starting next Tuesday, July 13, the adventurers of the Forgotten Realms will have the new update available, through which the post launch support offered to the Early Access of the expected GDR continues. As already anticipated by the team, the previous saves of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be incompatible with Patch 5, which however may not be installed.
In addition to presenting the contents of the update, Larian Studios took advantage of the event to also reflect on the near future of the title. In the short term, the authors anticipated, players will have more details on Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6. The latter will have a strong focus on increasing the proposed content, unlike Patch 5, more devoted to refine some existing mechanics .
Looking even further, the Larian Studios team also briefly discussed the game’s launch window, confirming that the game will not be ready for the market in 2021. At the moment, there are not many certainties, but the team hopes to be able to present the final version of Baldur’s Gate 3 “at some point in 2022”.
