Battlefield 2042, Season 1 will start in 2022: first details from EA

Battlefield 2042 is preparing to entertain fans with its battles on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles starting November 19, 2021, and DICE begins to reveal what plans are for supporting the new chapter in the period after launch.

The title produced by Electronic Arts will enjoy four different seasons in the course of its Year 1, however it seems that to see the actual start we will have to wait a bit: according to what is reported in a post on the official website of EA, Season 1 Battlefield 2042 will only start in 2022 and more information will be shared early next year. However, it is confirmed that the first season will bring the Battle Pass, a new Specialist, additional content for the Portal mode and other surprises not yet revealed. “The launch is just the beginning. We are following a new approach to live service based not only on adding new content, but also on refining the Battlefield experience across Seasons, thus continuing to evolve the world of Battlefield. 2042, “explains EA in his post.

At the debut, however, players will be able to try their hand at a Pre-Season complete with weekly missions, updates for Portal and limited-time modes. But after the leak on the few weapons at the launch of Battlefield 2042, many users may not be happy with having to wait a few more months before the start of Season 1. In the meantime, EA already seems to look towards the future: a new Battlefield would already be in development according as reported by the well-known insider Tom Henderson.
