When the trailer for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, many fans immediately began circulating a theory that Charlie Cox, star of Netflix’s Daredevil series, had a spot in the trailer. Recently, the actor discussed that rumor, debunking it in the process.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Cox was asked about the sudden rumor that he would be reprising his role as Matt Murdock in the film thanks to theories that his arms were briefly shown off in a scene that showed Tom Holland being seemingly interrogated in a police station. Cox was quick to say that those arms were definitively not his own.
“I can promise you those are not my forearms,” Cox said. While not the answer fans may have been hoping for, Cox didn’t delve too much into the film, leaving his own appearance in it more ambiguous. Ever since the cancellation of Daredevil, fans have long been hoping for Cox to somehow find a way into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Daredevil, with many assuming the upcoming film that touches on the multiverse being the best place for him to show up. For now, though, fans will have to wait and see if he ends up returning to the world of Marvel.
Spider-Man: No Way Home sees the return of Tom Holland as the beloved titular wall-crawler, who will now be joined by Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. They’re expected to team up against Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, who are currently the only ones that had seemingly confirmed their return. Like WandaVision, it has been confirmed that No Way Home will tie into the events of Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The third installment to the MCU’s Spider-Man films will also feature the return of most of the first two films’ cast including Emmy winner Zendaya (Euphoria, Dune) as MJ, Jacob Batalon (50 States of Fright) as Ned, Marisa Tomei (The King of Staten Island) as Aunt May, Tony Revolori (The French Dispatch) as Flash, and Hannibal Buress (Tag) as Coach Wilson.
