create your own story with Daniel Benmergui’s new game

On the occasion of the Annapurna Interactive Showcase, Daniel Benmergui presented with a new trailer Storyteller, a title coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch. This is a project with very particular characteristics, which will allow players to independently create stories to live in-game.

Daniel Benmergui, who you can remember for quite unique games such as Today I Die and I Wish I Was the Moon, brings Storyteller to the spotlight, a game that starts from the basics of the puzzle game in an attempt to innovate the way of telling a story within the medium. The product is described as follows: “Storyteller is a unique and creative twist on the puzzle genre. You are given a variety of iconic characters, settings and emotions to build stories of love, betrayal and revenge. You will create everything from supernatural fantasies to Shakespearean tragedies, creation myths and much more! “. Everything will be in the hands of the player, therefore, and the video that we reported at the beginning allows us to observe some examples of narrative intertwining that can be built within the title.

At the moment we don’t have an official launch date, with the Argentine developer who limited himself to specifying that Storyteller will arrive “soon” on PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, those interested can already download the demo on the Valve store.
