For some time there has been talk of a Marvel fighting game developed by NetherRealm, Ed Boon’s studio has discontinued support for Mortal Kombat 11 to dedicate itself to a new project not yet announced, which according to many will be Injustice 3.
However, there are those who continue to talk about the existence of a Marvel licensed fighting game developed by the Mortal Kombat and Injustice team, so much so that the alleged roster of the game would also emerge on 4Chan. It must be said that the source is not absolutely reliable and therefore everything must be taken with pliers, the post was reported on Reddit and also in this case it was received with skepticism, although in the comments there are also users who confirm that have heard similar rumors from their contacts in the industry.
The game in question is defined essentially as “a Marvel Injustice based broadly on World War Hulk”, the Marvel characters would all be redesigned in the style of NetherRealm. The roster would consist of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Groot & Rocket (paired) Blade, Gamora, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Gambit Shang-Chi, Kitty Pryde, Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, Hulk, Skaar, Doctor Octopus, Blob, Mojo, Bullseye, Mephisto, Daken, Arnim Zola, Venom, Abomination, Deacon Frost and Madam Masque.
The Deadpool character would be available as a preorder bonus and there would already be a first DLC scheduled with some extra fighters including Daredevil, Cyclops of the X-Men, Raiden from Mortal Kombat and Kylo Ren (reported as Kylo Renn by the leaker) from Star Wars. Difficult to say how much truth there is in this alleged leak, we report it for the record since it is not the first time that there is talk of a Marvel fighting game by NetherRealm.
