Something very strange has just happened on the PlayStation Store, more precisely in the tab dedicated to the PS4 version of Battlefield 2042: all references to one of the pre-order bonuses, namely Early Access to the Open Beta, have disappeared.
Unfortunately, the announcement of the postponement of the launch date of Battlefield 2042 has not been counterbalanced by the disclosure of precise information on the Open Beta, still without an official start date. To make the situation even more smoky, we think the strange observation we talked about at the beginning: for no apparent reason, the Early Access to the Beta has been removed from the pre-order bonuses of the Battlefield 2042 card for PS4. No changes, however, for the next-gen edition for PS5, as well as for the Xbox versions.
In the absence of a communication from Electronic Arts and DICE, it is really difficult to understand what is going on. Could it have been a simple mistake? Or have the plans changed? Although it seems unlikely, the development company may have made the decision to cancel the Beta on the old-gen console – on which, remember, a version of Battlefield 2042 with the handbrake on with smaller maps and a maximum number of players will arrive. set at 64 rather than 128.
While we await clarification, we remind you that Battlefield 2042 will be launched on November 19, 2021 on PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. According to insider Tom Henderson, Battlefield 2042’s Open Beta will begin on October 8, with Early Access set for Day 6.
