Embracer Games is not satisfied, it wants another 37 teams

From THQ Nordic, which after the recent 10th anniversary celebrations announced that it has 28 unannounced games in development at Deep Silver, through Koch Media and Saber Interactive.

The development teams currently under the aegis of Embracer Group are very many, but the parent company active in the videogame sector does not seem to be willing to limit its ambitions. In the latest financial report, the company has in fact announced its intention to proceed with a vast acquisition program. The target? Introduce an additional 37 “approximately” development teams to the Embracer Group family, all within the next twelve months.

A declaration of intent which, while impressive, appears to be consistent with the path taken by the company in recent times. Over the last year, in fact, Embracer Group has welcomed its own 37 software houses under its wing: a milestone that it aims to replicate in 2022. Specifically, the new entries that 2021 brought with it include 3D Realms, Aspyr Media, CrazyLabs, Demiurge Studios, DigixArt, Easy Trigger, Force Field, Fractured Byte, Flying Wild Hog, The Gearbox Entertainment Company, Ghost Ship Games, Grimfrost, Slipgate Ironworks, Zen Studios and more.

For the moment, Embracer Group has not offered any information on which software houses will be acquired next: to find out more, therefore, all that remains is to wait for announcements on the matter.
