Fight Night nextgen in development on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S? The latest leak suggests it

Based on the anticipations shared by the VideoGamesChronicle journalists, we learn that the developers of EA Canada would be taking action to realize the dream of many boxing video game fans, namely that of the return of the famous Fight Night series on nextgen systems.

Based on the information obtained by VGC, the North American subsidiary of Electronic Arts would in fact have obtained the green light to develop the “Moneyball” project, a code name used internally to refer to the next chapter of Fight Night, presumably exclusively nextgen for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Judging from the indications offered by anonymous sources that are described as “people inside EA”, the actual development phase of this title has not yet begun due to the decision taken by EA Canada to temporarily suspend its work to give priority to the EA Sports UFC series and, therefore, to the sequel to UFC 4, whose launch should take place in the second half of 2022.

Officially interviewed by the editorial staff of VGC, the spokespersons of Electronic Arts preferred not to comment on the leaks, underlining how the company’s policy is to “not respond to rumors or speculations”.
