for Capcom it is a hit

As part of the release of the latest financial results, Capcom confirmed the excellent sales performance of Resident Evil 3 Remake, released on PC and consoles in March last year.

The Japanese publisher has specified that 3.9 million copies sold by the horror game have allowed us to live again the nightmare of Raccoon City as Jill Valentine. For Capcom this is a more than satisfactory result, so much so that Resident Evil 3 Remake is considered a real hit in the context of the annual financial report.

The remake has now outstripped the overall sales of the original game released in 1999 by several lengths, standing at 3.5 million copies. Capcom believes that its digital market strategy has been particularly incisive in the game’s excellent performance. It must also be considered that the data are still as of March 31, 2021, and that the updated figure is probably even higher than the 3.9 million units confirmed by the publisher.

Recently there is nothing but talk of Resident Evil 3 Remake: Nemesis, an alleged re-release of the remake that should include the cut game sections (such as the Clock Tower area) and expand the horror game experience. To date, there is no confirmation that the project is actually in place, so we invite you to wait for any updates from Capcom.
