The miHoYo live broadcast dedicated to the 2.4 version of Genshin Impact has just ended and has not only allowed players to get 300 Primogems for free thanks to the new timed codes. The live has in fact revealed the numerous innovations that await us with the next update of the free to play, among which there are various free contents.
Let’s start by saying that all the timed banners of update 2.4 will be double and will therefore offer a mechanism identical to what was seen with Eula and Albedo in 2.3: players will then be able to decide which of the two banners to invest the Primogems, with the knowledge that both they will help to reach the pity and to get a guaranteed 5 Stars. The first double banner will have Shenhe and Xiao as protagonists with a good chance of getting the new 4-star warrior, or Yun Jin. In the second timed banner, however, there will be two other very welcome returns: Zhongli and Ganyu. We do not know the details on the banners of the weapons, but the development team has confirmed the arrival of a new 5-star spear that will almost certainly enhance the characteristics of Shenhe, the new character.
As for the additional contents of the update, we find an area of ​​the map completely submerged and entitled Enkanomiya, accessible from the vortex in the center of Watatsumi Island (the island of Kokomi, so to speak). There is also a new boss: a huge hydra linked to the water element whose drops could be used to enhance the incoming characters. MiHoYo has also announced the arrival of many events that will accompany Lantern Rite, the most important of version 2.4. Among these we find the return of hide and seek and Wonderous Shadows, which is reminiscent of the minigame of shadows seen in Resident Evil 7.
However, the free rewards from these events will likely attract the attention of all players. In addition to being able to get 10 free Wishes in timed banners, users will also be able to complete a series of activities and unlock a 4-Star Liyue hero of their choice among Xiangling, Beidou, Xingqiu, Ningguang, Chongyun, Xinyan, Yun Jin and Yanfei. This means that everyone will be able to unlock Yun Jin for free. As anticipated by the recent leaks of Genshin Impact, the update introduces the skins of Ningguang and Keqing and, as we had expected, that of the character Geo can be obtained for free.
