The debut of Psychonauts 2, the second chapter of the psychedelic platform series of Double Fine Productions, is now around the corner, but the videogame press has already had the opportunity to immerse itself again in the world created by Tim Schafer.
What is packaged by the software house which is now part of the Xbox Game Studios has extremely satisfied the lucky ones who have already had the opportunity to return to play the role of little Raz. The votes so far awarded by the action-platform that bears the signature of Schafer (former author of the legendary Monkey Island) have led to an overall average of 89/100 on Opencritic. A remarkable result, although it must be taken into account that other reviews and subsequent evaluations are still in progress.
The title of Double Fine thus manages, on a par with the visual novel Bustafellow, to surpass titles of the caliber of It Takes Two, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Monster Hunter Rise, Returnal and Hitman 3, consequently establishing itself as one of the most attractive for 2021. We imagine that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will hardly be able to resist the temptation to put Double Fine and Tim Schafer’s latest effort for free download.
