Regarding the additions compared to the PS4 version, the Kojima Production team is keen to clarify that “the content that we are introducing in Death Stranding Director’s Cut was all made and developed from scratch, after the launch of the original version of Death Stranding. new content has not simply been added, but has been carefully integrated into the main game experience and can be accessed by exploring while playing. ” With this in mind, it was therefore decided to make the PlayStation 4 save data transferable. Users who have already completed the game will also have the option to jump directly to areas where new content and equipment can be discovered.

On the content front, Kojima Productions promises “loads of new content and improved gameplay features. We are rolling out more weapons, gear and vehicles, different modes, missions and areas to explore, as well as a more extensive storyline and UI improvements.
