After having advanced some doubts about the possible presence of Final Fantasy XVI at the Tokyo Game Show 2021, the team working on the expected JRPG returns to update the public on the progress of the development process.
Still without a precise launch window, the new epic signed by the authors of Square Enix will see the Final Fantasy series return to a medieval fantasy setting, apparently far from the atmosphere proposed by Final Fantasy XV. Waiting to learn more about the debut of the Action RPG, for the moment expected exclusively on PlayStation 5, the public was able to learn that the English dub of Final Fantasy XVI is now almost completed.
A circumstance that has recently been further investigated by Yoshida, Director of Final Fantasy XIV and producer of Final Fantasy XVI. In the course of a new interview, the appreciated author has in fact specified that he wanted to give priority to the international dubbing of the game. During the realization of the latter, the motion capture operations were in fact also carried out. In this way, for the English version of the JRPG it will not be necessary to make changes to the facial movements proposed by the protagonists during the narrative sequences.
As has already happened for other great Japanese productions, such as Death Stranding, the team led by Yoshida decided to make the Japanese dubbing only at the end of the work related to the implementation of the British language. The sessions with the Japanese actors, confirmed the producer, will in any case start very soon.
