leak reveals the weight and date of the preload on PS5

We are slowly approaching the debut of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, the new title by Square-Enix with which Eidos Montreal will offer its personal interpretation of the famous heroes of the House of Ideas.

If in recent days we have learned something about the PC version and the support for DLSS and Ray Tracing, here is now some new information about the PS5 edition comes out. As confirmed by a leak of the usual PlayStation Game Size posted on Twitter, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy weighs 41.2GB on Sony’s next-gen console. This is a very low figure when compared to the amount of space required by other Triple A titles from Square-Enix, including Final Fantasy VII Remake (over 100GB needed on PS4, reduced to 81GB in the Intergrade version for PS5). It will be interesting to compare the weight with that of PC and Xbox, to check if the developers have exploited the Kraken, the PS5 decompression system with which several titles are lighter on the Sony platform.

The leak also reveals the date of the preload: the players who pre-purchase Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be able to start the download of the title starting from 24 October, two days before the official debut.
