
While waiting to see The Matrix Resurrection in our rooms, overseas fans have already been able to get their hands on the new film by Lana Wachowski by finding an easter egg dedicated to the world of video games and in particular to The Game Awards.
On the other hand, the protagonist of the famous film saga is a frequent visitor to videogame environments: Keanu Reeves has in fact taken the form of Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 and has repeatedly participated in The Game Awards in 2020 and in the last edition of 2021, in occasion of which he presented the experience in Unreal Engine 5 of Matrix. The kermesse conceived by Geoff Keighley has therefore received a tribute within The Matrix Resurrection: in a precise moment of the film a particular trophy of The Game Awards 1999 appears, assigned to the game The Matrix and developed by Deus Machina. Neo, the main hero, is in fact a video game developer author of the title in question.
