Over the last few hours, the theory according to which Nintendo could soon announce the arrival of a new Direct dedicated to the most important games coming out on Switch is becoming increasingly insistent on social networks.
The reason why fans are convinced of this announcement is linked to the past of the Big N, since the month of September has always welcomed one of the direct streams of the company and there would be no reason to skip the now traditional appointment in the 2021.
Here are all the Nintendo Direct September in recent years:
- 2012: event dedicated to Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U and The Wonderful 101
- 2013: 20-minute Pokémon Direct with an in-depth look at Pokémon X / Y and the announcement of Mega Evolutions and the Pokémon Bank
- 2016: in this case the focus was on 3DS products such as Pokémon Sun and Moon, Mario Party Star Rush, Animal Crossing: New Leaf DLC and Super Mario Maker
- 2017: In addition to presentations of several 3DS games, this Direct hosted insights from games such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Octopath Traveler and Super Mario Odyssey
- 2018: In addition to the announcement of the long-awaited Luigi’s Mansion 3, the live broadcast allowed players to learn more about other productions such as Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Let’s GO Eevee, Super Mario Party and Yoshi’s Crafted World

In short, unless Nintendo decides to take a break as it did in 2014 and 2015, a Direct in September dedicated to exclusives is practically certain and it is only a matter of time before confirmation arrives via the official social channels.
