Square Enix took advantage of the media showcase of the PlayStation Showcase to offer us a full-bodied trailer of the history of Forspoken, which in addition to accompanying us in the magical world of Athia to discover the secondary characters, also revealed the launch window of the Luminous Productions action RPG. Played by the talented British actress Ella Balinska, the protagonist Frey Holland is a feisty and shrewd girl, sadly marked by a difficult childhood spent in New York. As she approaches 21, her life takes an unexpected turn when she is magically transported to Athia, a land where fantasies and nightmares are all too real. To fight the chilling beings that populate this strange world, she will have to learn to master dozens of different spells and spells, which through a long journey will help transform her into a heroine.
The trailer, which also introduced the supporting characters, left us with strong positive impressions of the story, to the point that we can’t wait to find out more. More difficult to frame, however, the combat system: despite the gameplay being shown in the trailer, the mechanics that govern it are not yet completely clear.
