Phil Spencer congratulates him, but he gets the name of the studio wrong

As we have become accustomed to, Phil Spencer once again demonstrates great sportsmanship towards Sony and congratulates the Japanese giant for today’s acquisition of Housemarque, the development studio that gave birth to Returnal, the acclaimed roguelike Sci -Fi available exclusively on PS5.

The Xbox leader wanted to share his congratulatory message via his Twitter account, but what caught users’ attention was a curious typo. Spencer has in fact mistakenly called the new Sony software house “Hourmarque”, only to publish a second message and recognize, with a healthy dose of self-irony, the previous mistake.

“Let’s say it right this time, I apologize first. Congratulations to you and the Housemarque team”, are the words that we can read in the revised and corrected twitter addressed to Hermen Hulst of PlayStation Studios.
Spencer’s message follows the one published by Insomniac Games, another major Sony studio, which created a nice crossover between Ratchet & Clank and Returnal.

With the successful acquisition, Housemarque now has the opportunity to work on even more ambitious projects than Returnal, which was the first experiment in the field of triple A for the Finnish software house.
