Shin Megami Tensei V playable on PC? Possible thanks to Switch emulators

Shin Megami Tensei V is available from November 12th as an exclusive for Nintendo Switch. As evidenced also by our review of Shin Megami Tensei 5, the title Atlus is an excellent JRPG that cannot be missing in the collection of those who love the genre and own the Nintendo hybrid console.

A product of this quality is also tempting to owners of other consoles, but for the moment nothing suggests the arrival of other versions of the game, at least in the short term. Yet, there are those who are already playing it on PC thanks to the Nintendo Switch emulators available. It is striking that the game was emulated immediately, close to day one, and it is not even the only Switch exclusive playable on PC via this shortcut, given that Pokemon Shining Diamond, released on November 19, 2021, has also followed. the same path.

Returning to the Atlus title, SMT V on PC already shows a dynamic framerate, thus traveling on 60fps without the need for a patch or mod that specifically enables this possibility: simply disable Vsync and unlock the framerate cap. The dataminers have also found some references within the game files not only to the PC, but also to PS4: that official versions can arrive on these platforms in the future?

If you still want to get your hands on the new episode of the series, the Shin Megami Tensei 5 story and gameplay trailer might be your best incentive to rush to play it.
