testers must play with the window closed and no other people in the room

Mp1st shared the rules of the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) sent by Ubisoft to participate in the closed beta tests of Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, the new shooter announced in mid-July and still without a launch date.

The Closed Beta will start on August 5th in the US and Canada, Ubisoft is sending out invitations to selected players along with an NDA to be accepted in order to take part in the testing phase. Among the points of the agreement, the players are invited to close the windows (or at least the curtains) of the room, to prevent any leaks from emerging in advance.

There is also a second clause that absolutely prohibits playing with other people in the room, including family members. The latter is actually a rather frequent NDA point and is inserted to discourage the presence of people who can take photos, record videos or get to know details ahead of time.

We reiterate that at the moment the Closed Beta of XDefiant will not be available in Europe, Ubisoft has however confirmed that test phases are also planned for our continent later in the year. The game will be released on all major platforms and will be distributed as free to play with support for microtransactions.
