We told you about an upcoming surprise for Xbox Insider members, and it seems Microsoft has done more quickly than we expected to dig into the subject.
As reported on the Windows Central pages, if you are part of the Insider program and own an Xbox Series X you can now enjoy the Dashboard in 4K resolution once you have downloaded the new console update. Until now, despite making 4096 × 2160p support one of its key features, the next-gen platform has always rendered the Dashboard, guides and various menus in 1080p, offering a result that is not always satisfactory on the largest 4K displays. Once you have downloaded and installed build 2109.210813-2200 you will be able to enjoy the welcome news.
If you are not part of the Xbox Insider program, then you will have to wait a little longer. Usually, the Microsoft team does not take particularly long periods of time to distribute updates to all users and, with a bit of luck, this latest update could arrive within a few weeks.
The name of the Xbox Series S is not explicitly specified, so it is possible that the younger sister of the two next-gen consoles is not interested in the addition. The platform, moreover, generally aims at 1080p / 1440p even in-game.
With a recent console update, Xbox Series X | S has welcomed the arrival of Remote Play for streaming games on PC.
