Jacob Worthington is a 9 year old boy who lives in St Helens, Merseyside, England. Inspired by English footballer Marcus Rashford, he started a fundraiser for FareShare, a charitable organization supported by the Manchester United and national team striker himself.
The young Red Devils fan – registered on Instagram as jacob_manunited – was thus able to raise 250 pounds to be donated to charity, attracting the attention of Rashford himself, who thanked him by giving him a PlayStation 5 and a letter written by himself. punch: “We are not kind to be noticed. Interviewed by the BBC, Jacob’s father, John Worthington, explained that Rashford noticed the child’s Instagram account and contacted him asking for the address to be able to send him the PlayStation 5. “I didn’t think it would arrive so soon, so when the package was delivered to us the other day, I thought ‘what is this?’. I thought someone had sent Jacob something inside a used PS5 box. ” The child, at the sight of the console, began to “jump and scream around the room”, immediately showing himself very grateful for the gift received.
