Taking to Twitter, Johnson quoted a video of himself taking to the microphone after filming had wrapped. Johnson said that the film was an “incredible journey,” and that it was the “hardest undertaking” of his entire career both physically and mentally, although he noted that it was worth every second. He went on to thank every person involved in the film, before ending things by saying that the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe was changing now.

Black Adam will be led by Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam or the titular anti-hero, whose background story was first teased during 2019’s Shazam!. This marks the character’s live-action debut after only appearing in animated shows and films such as Young Justice. The film adaptation is also expected to feature the live-action film introduction of the Justice Society of America.
Joining Johnson is Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Other cast members include Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu in undisclosed roles.
Based on the DC Comics character created by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck, the film is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Jungle Cruise) from a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani. Producers are Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions along with FlynnPicturesCo’s Beau Flynn, with Scott Sheldon overseeing the project for FlynnPictureCo.
