the open world shooter will run on Unreal Engine 5

With a short but eloquent message shared on social networks by GSC Game World, the Ukrainian software house officially confirms the adoption of the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine for the development of STALKER 2, the ambitious open-world role-playing shooter arriving in 2022 on PC and Xbox Series X / S.

As further proof of the adoption of the latest version of the famous multi-platform graphics engine, the social team of GSC Game World has urged Epic Games to include STALKER 2 in the list of titles that will run on UE5 showing the US videogame giant, and therefore to all of us , an image depicting the editor used to develop Heart of Chernobyl.

Already with the spectacular gameplay of STALKER 2 of E3 2021, on the other hand, the Kiev studio has shown the graphic goodness of the horror-colored FPS and suggested the adoption of Unreal Engine 5 showing scenarios at the limits of photorealism, characters and creatures with highly evolved textures, an advanced particle system and highly refined volumetric lighting.

At this point we just have to remind you that STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl will be available from April 28, 2022, both on PC and on Xbox Series X / S. The title will be available from launch day in the “free” games library for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
