Among the gaming-themed announcements of the DC FanDome there were not only the videos of Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad. During the event, in fact, Ludia Inc. and Warner Bros. Entertainment officially presented the puzzle game for mobile systems DC Heroes & Villains.
The new arcade experience from WBIE promises to put DC Comics fans in the shoes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor and Harley Quinn to face hosts of enemies through a series of puzzling activities.
The playful system built by Ludia to realize this vision will have an approach not too dissimilar to that of Bejeweled and of titles which, to a similar extent, ask players to relocate tiles on a digital screen to remove them. In the context of DC Heroes & Villains, the pairing of the tiles will create powerful combos that will represent the attacks in melee and from the distance brought by our alter-ego against the opponents.
The advancement between the levels will allow players to recruit and collect over 35 DC Cards, each starring a hero or villain from the DC Comics multiverse: each Card will be devoid of powers and it will be up to the user to unlock its full potential through the challenges offered. entitled with its 152 missions.
DC Heroes & Villains, the “superheroic Bejeweled” by Ludia Inc. is expected to launch by the end of 2021 on the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, presumably with the free to play formula.
