Waiting to find out if the new PlayStation Showcase will bring with it news on the expected launch of Gran Turismo 7 (originally scheduled for 2021 and then postponed to next year), the Polyphony Digital team already has news in store for fans of racing.
The software house has in fact announced the imminent publication of a new update for its Gran Turismo Sport. Specifically, the title will receive a still mysterious update next Thursday 9 September, precisely the date of the Sony show. The distribution of the patch will be associated with an extraordinary maintenance process of the game servers, which will last between 10:00 and 12:00 in the Italian time zone.
At the moment, Polyphony Digital has not offered any details on what will be the contents of the Gran Turismo Sport update, but the coincidence of dates has led the public to elaborate rather bold hypotheses, linked to possible correlations with Gran Turismo 7. Despite the many suggestive theories, it is good to point out that it could simply be a coincidence, with Gran Turismo Sport preparing to welcome an absolutely ordinary update.
While waiting to learn more, we remind you that after the postponement of Gran Turismo 7 to 2022, Sony has not yet offered a precise launch window for the PS4 and PS5 game.
