
As promised by Bethesda, the DOOM Eternal nextgen update is available from today, June 29th, on PC, Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5. For the occasion, ID Software publishes a video on the Xbox Series X version of the update which illustrates the graphical and performance improvements of this major free update.
The update, designed to take advantage of the computational power and functionality of the latest generation platforms, requires the installation of approximately 70GB of data on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. The update allows ID Software’s latest shooter masterpiece to integrate Ray Tracing into DOOM Eternal, both on PC and on nextgen consoles.
The following sheet summarizes the specifications with the resolution and framerate targets of the new graphic presets added by the Texan developers with the new DOOM Eternal update:
Xbox Series X
- Performance Mode – 1800p at 120fps
- Balanced Mode – 2160p at 60fps

By virtue of the marriage between Bethesda and Microsoft, of course the DOOM Eternal nextgen update can be downloaded completely free of charge even by the emulators of the Doom Guy subscribers to Xbox Game Pass.
