The development path of the April Fool has become a reality continues: after the first official announcement of Sol Cresta, the Platinum Games team also formalizes the release date of the production.
The spiritual sequel to 1980s titles such as Terra Cresta and Moon Cresta is in fact almost ready to make its way onto the gaming market. The debut date is set for next December 9, 2021, with the debut of Sol Cresta scheduled on PlayStation 4 (in backward compatibility with PlayStation 5), Nintendo Switch and PC. The news was communicated by Platinum Games on the occasion of the BitSummit currently taking place in Kyoto.
At the fair, a cabinet is available with which to test a Sol Cresta Demo. Those who have no way to go to the splendid former Japanese capital can in any case be satisfied with a new glimpse of the gameplay of the title. Directly at the opening of this news, you will find a game session taken from the same cabinet present at the BitSummit in Kyoto. The movie features none other than the game’s Story mode, which bears the signature of Hideki Kamiya himself.
The retro-style portrait-oriented shooter is just one of the many projects in the pipeline at Platinum Games, which have also been working on Bayonetta 3 for some time.
