Ubisoft’s new free shooter announced with a trailer

As promised on Ubisoft’s official social channels, the new free-to-play shooter named Tom Clancy’s XDefiant was announced in live streaming during the evening.

Just as suggested by the leaks of a few weeks ago and by the short gameplay videos that emerged in the last hours, this frenetic first person shooter merges the universes of Splinter Cell, The Division and Ghost Recon, brands that inspire not only the arenas but also the factions, since in the game we will be able to take on the role of the members of Wolves, Forsaken, Purifiers and Echelon.

At the moment, a launch window has not yet been announced, but from the official website we learn that the reference platforms are Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Google Stadia. On the official website of the game it is also possible to register for the opportunity to participate in the test phases and the first of these will start on August 5, 2021 only on PC for players residing in the United States and Canada. However, the developers have confirmed the arrival of other tests that will also involve different countries and platforms, so that everyone can try the title firsthand.
