This week Konami announced the new soccer game eFootball, successor to the Winning Eleven and PES series. The Japanese house thus says goodbye to its historic brand to give life to a new franchise more oriented towards the tastes and needs of the public. But when does eFootball come out?
In reality there is still no release date for eFootball, the rival FIFA 22 will be released on October 1st (with early access from September 27th for those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition) while Konami’s eFootball launch window is set generically for the autumn 2021.
We can therefore expect a launch included in the period between the end of September and the month of October, for needs related to sponsors and contracts it will be difficult to go beyond this time window, however it is only a hypothesis and Konami has limited itself to specifying that the game’s debut is during the autumn months.
eFootball will be distributed as free to play on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android operating systems, with support for cross-play and cross-platform matchmaking, a real revolution for a football game. The gameplay of eFootball will be shown in August, so next month we will know more about the mechanics and the news introduced by the developers.
