Several months have passed since the last time Square-Enix showed its ambitious Forspoken in action, the new game developed by Luminous Productions and coming to PC and exclusively on PlayStation 5 console.
The Japanese publisher has not announced any upcoming news regarding the project, however the actress Ella Balinska, who will play Frey Holland, the main protagonist of the fantasy adventure, seems to suggest that something is boiling in the pot. In a post that appeared on her Instagram profile, Balinska openly quoted Forspoken, hinting that something new is about to be shown regarding the action-RPG.
It does not seem a pure coincidence that the new edition of the PlayStation Showcase will be held on Thursday 9 September, an event that Sony could take advantage of to propose again one of its most intriguing exclusive consoles. However, it is also not excluded that Square-Enix will directly show new material during the Tokyo Game Show 2021.
Although the clue appears quite concrete, we still have no official confirmations of any kind, which is why we invite you to wait for any announcements from the official parties. Recall that Forspoken (formerly known as Project Athia) will arrive over the next year on PC (with support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution) and in an exclusive two-year time frame on PlayStation 5 consoles.
