As part of Xbox’s 20th anniversary celebrations, Microsoft has announced a new and latest wave of backwards compatible games on the Xbox Series X | S.
Among the titles of past generations there are several that have also received support for FPS Boost, a technology that allows you to play at framerates and, sometimes, higher resolutions on the Xbox Series X | S. The always punctual ElAnalistaDeBits channel made a video in which it went to show the performance improvements made to various titles belonging to the seventh generation of videogames. Among these we can mention Gears of War 3, Sonic Generations, Assassin’s Creed, Fable III, Fable Anniversary, Dead Space 3, Fallout New Vegas, Dragon Age Origins, and even The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.
At the end of the analysis it was found that all games benefit from a resolution boost on the Xbox Series S (they were usually rendered at 720 / 1080p as appropriate). It is also pointed out that in some titles there are bugs related to shadows when activating FPS Boost, and that the option forces Gears of War 3 to go down in resolution from 2160p to 1440p. Will you take the leap to whip up any of these 60fps titles on your consoles?
We take this opportunity to remind you that the Xbox Series X | S November update is now available for download.
